"The Emotional Well-Being Institute (EWBI) was conceptualised over five years by its Founder, Professor (Dr.) Basseer Jeeawody. It was presented to a small group of three founding members in Geneva in 2018, and announced at a press conference at the Geneva Press Club on April 2, 2019. The Institute was officially launched at an international forum on emotional well-being in Melbourne, Australia in October 2019.EWBI is committed to leveraging emotional well-being of communities and nations towards positive engagements, accomplishments, and flourishing societies.
We follow the philosophy that animates the livelihood of Ants. Like the Ants, we value teamwork and persevere until we discover approaches, methods and solutions to emotional well-being issues that are appropriate to different communities living under different circumstances.
To leverage emotional well-being of individuals, groups, communities, and nations towards positive engagements, accomplishments, & flourishing societies.
To value emotional well-being as integral to health guided by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030.
To undertake a multi-faceted and pluralistic effort to facilitate emotional well-being to be the centre of efforts to enhance the well-being of populations.
Address challenges and minimise the social issues through strengthening the emotional well-being of our nations.
Conceptualise as collective action for sustained population-wide improvement in emotional well-being.
Participation by civil societies, research, development and evaluation to enhance the emotional well-being of nations.
Demonstrate the effectiveness of strategies, programs, processes.
